In the cooler months, Cooinda becomes a warm and welcoming winter retreat. The main hall, fitted with both a commercial diesel heater and a large open fireplace, creates a cosy environment for learning, reflection, and conversation. An enclosed balcony captures panoramic sea views, making it an inspiring space for education and wellness retreats, regardless of the season.

A series of scenic trails begin just beyond our grounds, offering walking, hiking, and cycling experiences for all ages:

• The Hindmarsh River Trail Network - including the Waggon, Wattle, McCracken, Paperbark, and Lagoon Trails - weaves through floodplains, woodlands, and re-vegetated riverbanks

• The Kaiki Trail around Granite Island showcases crashing waves, unique granite formations, and the chance to spot fairy penguins and dolphins

• The Heysen Spur (Kings Head Hike) offers cliff-top views between Petrel Cove and Kings Beach - a spectacular coastal walk
